While the secret of Our Place Himalayas lies in the uncontestable beauty of the Himalayan country-side, one of its many charms lies in its cottages. A combination of elegance, space, art and understated luxury, the cottages – Rose, Solace, Kiwi, Bliss, Serenity – have a beauty of their own. Decorated with art pieces and beautiful upholstery, each cottage has a living room, a dining room, bedrooms with beautiful views of the Valley, and a fully-equipped kitchen that has all essential amenities. Private sundecks look up to the grand Himalayas and down towards the Kiwi Vines and Plum Orchards or the gurgling brook flowing through the property
Our Place Himalayas is owned and managed by Anita; wife of a renowned orchardist Ashok Khullar. The Khullars relationship with the Kullu Valley goes back six generations. The family grew tea from 1924-46 and ran the prestigious Mayflower Hotel, known also for its nine-hole golf course. But fluctuations in weather conditions forced the family to move into orchard farming and horticulture. The orchards still stand.
