At Our Place Himalayas, food is our forte. We understand that a great holiday is incomplete without great food. Hence, we take special care to ensure that our guests never miss out on excellent meals.

While all cottages are equipped with a fully-functioning kitchen, guests have the option of enjoying delicious gourmet meals cooked by Chef David, a Goan, in the Khullarís House kitchen on prior notice. Together with Devi, a Himachali, David has the capacity of rustling up the most magical of dishes, ranging from local Kullu dishes (seven course dhaam meals), to food from other Indian states, as also Italian, Tibetan and Goanese meals.

We like to serve food that is made fresh with ingredients picked from our very own organic fruit and vegetable gardens or acquired from the farmersí market in the village. Depending upon each seasonís bounty, seasonally-changing menus are designed around timely availability.

Another speciality is our in-house jams and fruit conserves made from kiwis, apples, plums, wild apricots and preservative-less juices of apples and plums. Another do-not miss is our in-house pickles and chutneys, which are made using traditional recipes from the juiciest apples, lingadi (wild forest asparagus), apricots and plums.
